CNY Healing Arts Center Nail SpaThe easiest route to having healthy nails is through a well-planned regimen of diet and grooming. Eat the correct foods and protect your hands from environmental stress for strong nails. Incorporate the recommended daily allowance of vitamin B, calcium and protein into your diet. By incorporating daily multivitamins you will ensure that you are getting the proper amounts of other vitamins.

Try to wear rubber gloves whenever you use cleaning products, wash dishes or work in your garden to protect your nails from chemicals and dirt. It is crucial to Moisturize nail beds regularly with a nondrying nail lotion. Gently rub the lotion over the entire nail bed at least once a day. Trim your own cuticles or stop in for a manicure at our relaxing nail spa. Soften cuticles with a paraffin hand treatment. The best way to shape your nail is a word I made up several years ago, “sqouval” that is a little bit round and a little bit square. Your nails will not break as easily if they are shaped like this. I always encourage my clients to use a nail strengthener on their nails to protect from breakage.  Hands and nails are affected by seasonal changes, book your appointment for a manicure so that we can educate you on how to take care of your hands and nails and keep them healthy.
