Janis L. Scaturo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice.  Janis received her MSW degree from the Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois.  She has over 30 years of clinical experience.  In her practice, Janis specializes in the counseling of individuals, couples, and families coping with various forms of childbearing loss.  These include losses due to infertility, miscarriage, and stillbirth.  Treatment modalities include progressive relaxation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family therapy to help her clients in reducing the stress of infertility and assisted reproduction.  Janis Scaturo is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the New York State Society of Clinical Social Work, and a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work since 1993.

Nicole Christina is in private practice specializing in the evaluation and treatment of eating disorders and eating-related issues. She is a graduate of Smith College School of Social Work. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Ms. Christina was involved in mental health research at Yale University, where she was awarded the A. Bartlett Giamatti prize for excellence. Ms. Christina uses a multi-disciplinary approach in her work, collaborating with the client’s physician and dietician, when indicated. She is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders. Elaine received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and Social Work from Syracuse University. She has spent many years in private practice. Elaine has extensive experience helping couples to deal with marital difficulties, infertility, loss and grief. Elaine also specializes in helping individuals and families, treating for depression, anxiety, grief and loss.

Elaine feels that couples specifically dealing with infertility are at higher risk for exposing unresolved issues around fertility, which can provoke marital difficulties. She encourages couples to seek counseling as a pro-active measure. Counseling helps facilitate discussions about how each partner is feeling and how they are dealing with the decisions being made.
