Fertile Friends Support

Fertile Friends pairs patients together based on your experiences with infertility. This program has been created because many patients have said that friends and family who have been their support system for other life issues, just can’t compare to the understanding and support provided by another person who is going through the same struggle to conceive.

How do I sign up to be a participant in the Fertile Friends program?

Signing up is easy! Follow the instructions in the Sign Up section below. You will fill out a short form with basic information about yourself and your personality. This will help to guide us better in pairing you with your friend. Participants will need to sign a HIPAA waiver allowing us to release their first and last name as well as phone number and email address to their “friend” once they are paired. Participants are required to fill out a questionnaire to be inducted into the program.

What would my involvement be as a participant?

Once you are paired, our coordinator will contact you with your “friend’s” contact information via email. The 8 week program shouldn’t take much time from your schedule. It will include information about emotional support, journaling (as you want), as well as integrating mind-body-spirit themes throughout the program. The extra activities suggested are only that – suggestions. We encourage you to participate as you wish. The main goal of Fertile Friends is to create a nurturing and helpful bond with another person undergoing infertility treatments. We feel that women going through similar experiences can help one another the most. Throughout the 8 weeks you can email, call, write letters and meet up with your friend. It’s important that you keep open lines of communication about what works for you regarding contact with your “friend” at the outset of this program.

Eight-Week Program Designed for Fertile Friends

This program is designed for individuals who have been inducted into the Fertile Friends program. The program spans eight weeks, and offers many suggestions designed to assist you and your Fertile Friend in dealing with the often stressful issue of infertility.
