Below is a list of our staff members operating out of our CNY Healing Arts Wellness Center and Spa that is located at 38A Old Sparrowbush Road, Latham, NY 12110. Cheryl Simkins-Anderson, Spa Manager

Cheryl has worked in the Spa & Wellness field for over 13 years, having previously worked for a large day spa in Albany and also managing a small physical therapy practice in Latham. Cheryl comes from a family business and has a drive and passion for making clients feel welcome. She is also a New York State licensed nail technician and has experience with bridal parties and makeovers. Cheryl has built up a large client base over the years. Attention to detail and relationship building are all a part of her business model and that is what keeps her clients coming back. She is excited to be a part of the CNY Healing Arts family and to build a team of qualified and friendly practitioners.

Kristen Marie Crumb, BS, LMT

Kristen is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College with a B.S. in Recreational Therapy in 2000, then the Center for Natural Wellness- School of Massage Therapy in Albany in 2004. She has continued to further her education in Massage therapy with certifications in Lymphatic Facilitation, Prenatal Massage, Reiki, and Reflexology. Along with these techniques, Kristen also uses several other modalities including Deep tissue, Myofascial release, Swedish and Sports Massages. She specifically targets each person’s needs and customizes the massage accordingly.

Linda Hill, Certified Yoga Instructor

Yoga has been a passion of Linda’s since 1995. She is a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher receiving her training and certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA; and Prenatal Yoga Teacher Certification from the Healing Tree Yoga & Wellness Center in Quincy, MA. Linda is also a Reiki Master and Teacher. She is a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association and a Registered Yoga Alliance Instructor. A devout practitioner and teacher, she continues her inspiration through advanced studies with renowned teachers. Her love for yoga is fondly expressed in her classes through a safe and nurturing atmosphere.

Samantha Mullen, LMT

Samantha has been a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004. She has been with the CNY Healing Arts team since March 2009. Samantha offers many modalities of massage and customizes each treatment to her clients’ specific needs. Samantha specializes in Fertility Massage, Maternity Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage and Scar Reduction, Chakra Balancing, Trigger Point Therapy and Deep Tissue Massage. Samantha will become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor through the Loving Touch Foundation this fall and will be offering Workshops at CNY Healing Arts in Latham to teach Parents about massaging thier infants! Samantha has found being a Massage Therapist to be very rewarding. Helping people from all walks of life to improve thier overall health and well being has been very meaningful! Samantha is looking forward to spending many years growing with the CNY family.

Warren MacNaughton, LAc, MA, MS

Warren studied Asian culture and philosophy at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology in 1991. He developed an interest in alternative medicine while studying for his first Master’s Degree at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 1996 he enrolled at Southwest Acupuncture College and by 1999 was a NCCAOM certified Diplomat of Acupuncture. Warren went on to further his studies with doctors in China, monks in Tibet and was certified in massage at Wat Po Medical School in Thailand in 2000.

Trained in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Chinese Medical Nutrition and Oriental Physical Therapy and Massage, Warren specializes in fertility, oncology, pain management, stress and anxiety disorders. He believes in the importance of preventative medicine and that keeping the body and mind balanced is the best way to avoid illness and ensure health and longevity. Warren joined the CNY team in Albany during the Spring of 2009 where he happily assists those on their path to wellness and fertility.

Rebecca Rice M.S., L.Ac.

Rebecca is a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist and nationally certified to practice Acupuncture by the NCCAOM. Rebecca did her undergraduate studies at Indiana University, receiving a B.A. in 1998. She trained an additional 4 years and in 2002 was awarded a Master’s of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Since 2002 Rebecca has been a part of the movement to bring natural medicine into mainstream clinics. Her areas of expertise are in the treatment of women’s health and infertility, pain, stress, anxiety, depression, immune support and digestive disorders. Rebecca has furthered her knowledge of infertility and Chinese medicine by studying with Randine Lewis PhD, L.Ac. and Dr. Mike Berkley L.Ac.; and continues study with longtime mentor, Lonny Jarrett M.S., L.Ac.

Rebecca brings a sense of warmth to the treatment room. She believes in forming a healing partnership through listening to patient needs and offering guidance to improve health holistically with Chinese medical nutrition, Chinese herbal medicine and lifestyle recommendations. She is pleased to be serving her community here at CNY.

Lauren Krug, Esthetician & Nail Technician

Lauren has been a New York State Licensed Esthetician and Nail Technician for 6 years. She is a graduate of the Aesthetic Science Institute in Latham, NY. She was previously a co-owner of a day spa located in Delmar, NY specializing in mineral make-up, facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, waxing, natural manicures and pedicures. Using her knowledge in business and the beauty industry, she strives to make every client’s spa experience relaxing and personalized. Lauren has used various skincare products and has treated different skin types, all while giving the utmost attention and follow through to see results. She is also an avid artist and has brought her creativity and ideas to help CNY Healing Arts grow. Lauren is pleased to be apart of the amazing team at CNY and looks forward to assisting you with your skin care needs!

Kathleen Burnetter, Spa Attendant

Kathy has been a member of the CNY team for 3 years.You will find her during the day in the front office of CNY Fertility Center. She joins us for several evenings in our retail check in station of the Latham Healing Arts. Kathy has been involved in the medical field for over 30 years. She enjoys the variety of her different jobs. She is one of the first faces you see when coming to CNY and delights in making our clients feel welcomed and informed. If Kathy doesn’t know the answer she will work hard to find it, so please feel comfortable asking for her guidance. It is her pleasure to help make your CNY experience easier on all levels.

Diane Hampson, Spa Attendant

Diane has been a member of the CNY team for 5 months. You will find her during the day in the front office of CNY Fertility Center. She joins us for several hours in the evenings in our retail check in station of the Latham Healing Arts Center. She is also the Yoga information coordinator, and handles any questions regarding bridal events. Diane is new to the Capital District and enjoys being a part of the CNY team. She is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz in 2006 with a bachelors degree in mathematics. She is one of the first faces you see when coming to the CNY facility. It is her pleasure to welcome you to the Healing Arts Center and answer any questions you may have about the spa.
