Class Descriptions:

Gentle Yoga Flow Class – This class is great for beginners, as well as practicing students to come and unwind after a busy day. The class focuses on building strength and relaxation through warm ups and a mixed series of postures as well as incorporating a mini gentle flow. This class calms and gently stretches the body.

Mind Body Alignment Yoga Class – Rooted in the Iyengar tradition, which focuses on proper alignment in the poses, this practice allows you to open to your full potential as you cultivate improved spinal alignment, flexibility, balance, strength, circulation, metabolism, and a greater sense of well-being. Through breath awareness and expansion (pranayama), the vital Life Force Energy is activated to support a series of poses (asana) that invigorate the physical body, bring focus and clarity to the mind, balance the emotions. Each class concludes with a deep relaxation (savasana), which allows for assimilation of the experience into the gross and subtle bodies. Props, such as blankets, bolsters, belts and blocks, serve as extensions of the body to allow for a safe and more expansive practice. Appropriate for all levels.
