Syracuse - NEW Yoga Class Schedule Begins September 17th

Greetings yogis, it’s National Yoga Month! What a wonderful reminder to breathe, meditate, open up and spend some time cultivating your practice. We have some very exciting changes to our yoga lineup beginning on Monday, September 17th (see the new schedule below).

Monday:

What Are These NEW Classes?

Mind Body Alignment Yoga:
Rooted in the Iyengar tradition, which focuses on proper alignment in the poses, this practice allows you to open to your full potential as you cultivate improved spinal alignment, flexibility, balance, strength, circulation, metabolism, and a greater sense of well-being. Through breath awareness and expansion (pranayama), the vital Life Force Energy is activated to support a series of poses (asana) that invigorate the physical body, bring focus and clarity to the mind, balance the emotions. Each class concludes with a deep relaxation (savasana), which allows for assimilation of the experience into the gross and subtle bodies. Props, such as blankets, bolsters, belts and blocks, serve as extensions of the body to allow for a safe and more expansive practice. Appropriate for all levels.

Gentle Flow Yoga:
This class is great for beginners, as well as practicing students to come and unwind after a busy day. The class focuses on building strength and relaxation through warm ups and a mixed series of postures as well as incorporating a mini gentle flow. This class calms and gently stretches the body.

Moderate Hot Vinyasa Flow:
A multi-level strength based practice in a heated environment beginning with an easy warm up, sun salutations, and a series of poses including balances and inversions, designed to work the body to the core, helping to loosen the joints, and get the blood flowing. There will always be modifications, so you can work at the level best suited for you a joyful experience. Appropriate for most levels.

Mellow Morning Flow:
Rise and shine and start your day out right ! Whether you are just beginning your yoga practice or looking to deepen your practice, this class focuses on the basic principles of yoga. By focusing on the basic mechanics of the various asana and coupling that with conscious breathing, you will build a strong foundation to help you further your yoga practice. Appropriate for Beginners to All Levels.

Energy Flow Yoga:
This energetic class helps cultivate self-awareness as you awaken the breath, promote circulation, create strength, and achieve balance with dynamic and energetic Vinyasa yoga sequences that inspire you to discover your limits and move beyond them. Through this mindful exploration you can grow your practice, strengthen your body, expand your heart and free your mind. Come ready to Explore and to Flow. Open to all levels.

Yin Yoga & Hot Tub Immersion:
This slow paced, yet dynamic, practice primarily targets the lower body regions of hips, pelvis and lower spine, focusing on stimulating energy flow through the deep connective tissues, such as the fascia, tendons, and ligaments that encase and connect muscle to bone, and stabilize the body’s joints, which allow for free and fluid range of motion. Exploring the shape of the pose, you then let go of all muscular effort which results in profound transformation at all levels of being. The poses which are primarily reclined or supine are held anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. This allows for detoxification as the meridians are flushed of blockages in the flow of prana (Life Force Energy) that can cause dis-ease in the body. Each class will culminate with a guided relaxation (Savasana) experience in the Aqua Terrace Spa Hot Tub. Bathing suit required.

Yoga for Fertility:
Join us for this Yoga for Fertility Class that is designed for women or couples who are trying to conceive. Yoga for Fertility uses specific yoga postures to help stimulate and tone the reproductive system and has been shown to improve chances of conception. Please note that our Yoga for Fertility class is now FREE of charge due to Dr. Kiltz’s strong belief in the power of yoga to improve the body’s ability to conceive (for men and women). Enjoy!

Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga:
Cultivate a sense of profound well-being through this enriching practice, as you create the optimal environment physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually for your developing baby, or as you restore your body’s natural state of equilibrium after the birth of your child. Within this sacred space and a supportive community of women, come to honor the essence of your Creative Divine Feminine Energy. Allow it to infuse your practice and permeate your presence on and off the mat, as you turn the focus of your energies to balancing and harmonizing body, mind and spirit, during and after pregnancy. Suitable for all levels.

Yoga for Rehabilitation:
Take control and actively assist in your healing process, with this gentle experience of Chair Yoga. Stimulate energy and blood flow, regain strength, flexibility, stamina, and balance as you practice a series of gentle stretches and poses using a chair for support. Most poses are experienced seated in the chair or standing. Ideal for those healing from injury, surgery, or with limited range of motion or mobility. Also suitable for those with chronic conditions.

Vinyasa Flow:
Enjoy this dynamic, vigorous class that links movement with breath for a transformative and balancing effect. Prepare to build heat, endurance, flexibility and strength while listening to ancient teachings and uplifting music that can inspire physical and energetic shifts that will leave you feeling incredible!

SUNday Salutation
Let go of the week behind and renew for the week ahead! This vigorous, yet accessible, class utilizes fluid transitions from pose to pose, seamlessly linking body, breath and movement. Practiced in a heated room, SUNday Salutation is a Vinyasa-based yoga class focused on building heat to burn away mental, physical, and emotional toxins. We will flow on the rhythm of the breath through Sun Salutations and use the heat to move further into the body with progressively more intense poses. Emphasizing safety and alignment, modifications will be offered so that everyone can work at their own pace with their own authentic breath. You will leave feeling stronger, centered and*refreshed. Be ready to sweat the stress away.

Restorative Yoga & Meditation
Cultivate your inner calm, as you rejuvenate body, mind and spirit through a series of gentle poses that focus on bringing you to a state of deep peace and relaxation. With the use of props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks and belts, we will guide you on this journey. Wear comfortable clothing and if you wear contacts, please bring glasses.

    Iam interested in trying your hot vinyasa class and the hot tub class, as I have a lot of back and hip pain, and I am trying to heal it naturally

    We hope to see you at a class soon! There are several new classes at our Syracuse location that may be of interest to you and could possibly help your rehabilitation process. Please do share with the instructor before class about your pain and the area where it occurs. Full schedule below, I think Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Rehabilitation would be great for starters as well as the Hot Tub class.
